What this site is

The site publishes estimated scrap metal prices for Australian cities, derived from international market data using a published methodology, alongside a directory of scrap yards and educational guides. It is an editorial reference, not a marketplace: we do not buy or sell metal, broker transactions, or act as agent for any yard.

Estimates, not offers

All prices on the site are estimates. They are not offers to buy, quotes, or guarantees of what any yard will pay. Actual payouts depend on grading, load size, contamination, local demand, and yard discretion. Always confirm prices with a yard before transporting material. We publish our methodology precisely so you can judge the estimates' basis for yourself.

Yard directory

Review ratings shown are aggregated from Google and are not produced by us. If you operate a listed yard and want a correction, use the correction form.

Your submissions

By submitting content (yard details, price reports, corrections), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use it to operate and improve the site, including publishing yard data in the directory and using price reports in aggregate. Intellectual property

The site's content — text, guides, data presentation, and design — is owned by the site operator. You may reference our estimates with attribution and a link. Systematic scraping, bulk republication, or use of the data to build a competing dataset is not permitted without written consent.

Advertising

The site is funded by display advertising served by Google AdSense. Advertisers do not influence editorial content, prices, or directory inclusion.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, where the site is operated. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder continues in effect.
